Alumni Awards

Central Piedmont Community College is proud to honor our most outstanding alumni through our annual alumni awards--the Richard H. Hagemeyer Educational Advancement Award and the Young Alumni Award of Excellence.

The Hagemeyer Award takes its name from Dr. Richard H. Hagemeyer, Central Piedmont president for 23 years, who led the college from its beginnings as a trade school with 1,200 students to one of the largest community colleges in North Carolina. The Young Alumni Award, first awarded in 2019, acknowledges our newest graduates and their impact in the community.

Nominations for 2023 are now open until March 1st.
