The ProgramDental Hygiene Lab at CPCC
The Dental Hygiene Program at CPCC was established in 1965, and graduated its first cohort in 1967. Each year the program receives about 150-170 applications for only 30 slots. Over the past 50 years, CPCC has supplied about 1,300 graduates to the Mecklenburg community. Continuing a consisten trend with our graduates, one hundred percent who sought work were able to find jobs.

The Challenge
The Dental Hygiene Program Anniversary Scholarship is a challenge-match to endow a scholarship to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Dental Hygiene program. Through the generosity of a fellow Dental Hygiene alumna, your gift to the scholarship fund will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $15,000! Honor the past with a gift to the scholarship fund; enhance the future of the program. As an "anniversary" scholarship, you can continue to give every year to celebrate your graduation, your anniversary, your career success, your instructors, your alma mater and to help rising Dental Hygiene students launch their careers.

Additionally, the Class of 1980 is establishing a scholarship in memory of their classmate, the late Laurie Barringer Werner. Gifts to this scholarship will also qualify for the challenge-match.
