It is a common practice among colleges, universities, and other non-profit organizations to modestly assess an administrative fee on endowment funds in order to offset costs associated with the management and administration of the endowment investments and individual endowment funds. The Foundation calculates the fee at 1% of the endowment fund's market value at the beginning of each fiscal year. The fee is reviewed by the Central Piedmont Community College Foundation Finance Committee annually.
