July 28, 2014After a succession of unfulfilling part-time jobs, Pennell decided to go back to school. She completed the Adult High School Diploma Program through Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte before she turned 18. In 2011, she went on to earn an associates degree in human services technology from CPCC in order to be able to work with at-risk youth, as well as with individuals with developmental disabilities

July 1, 2014Sometimes getting in the door is the hardest part when you are beginning your educational pursuit. Thanks to you who supported the CPCC Alumni Annual Fund, getting in the door became easier for many hopeful students.
In fact, this year, not only did CPCC have one of its biggest enrollments, it also had one of its largest graduating classes. None of this would be possible without your support. The students thank you and so does your alma mater.
